WACO, Texas (Jan. 29, 2019) – Baylor University is mourning the passing of Thomas Charlton, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of History, who served the University for 40 years, including most notably as founding director of the University’s Institute for Oral History and director of The Texas Collection. WACO, Texas (May 3, 2018) – Using an innovative initiative, Latin American researchers from academia, government agencies and businesses leaders identified priority research questions for the region to tackle pressing environmental quality issues.

WACO, Texas (April 30, 2018) – Baylor University is mourning the passing of William D. (Bill) Hillis, B.S. ’53, M.D., a medical physician and scientific researcher who served more than 30 years as a professor and administrator at Baylor. Hillis passed away April 26.

WACO, Texas (April 26, 2018) — Dallas senior Corrie Coleman has been selected to receive the 2018 journalism scholarship from the Bess Whitehead Scott Scholarship Fund. Coleman will receive $2,000 toward her degree in journalism, which includes studies in writing, photography and videography.

WACO, Texas (April 13, 2018) – April 17 marks the fifth anniversary of the fire and explosion at the West Fertilizer Company in the town of West, Texas. Twelve Central Texas first responders and three civilians died in the explosion the evening of April 17, 2013. More than 200 residents were injured and scores of houses were destroyed in the town of approximately 2,500 people.
