Various Additional Academic Resources

Advisement in Arts & Sciences
Freshmen, sophomores and juniors in the College of Arts & Sciences receive academic advisement through CASA (College of Arts & Sciences Advisement), which also provides resources and institutional coordination for departmental and program advisors. CASA is dedicated to offering professional academic expertise within a scholarly community of creativity, hospitality and care.

BURST (Baylor Undergraduate Research in Science & Technology)
BURST is a student organization for Baylor undergraduates interested in scientific research. Its mission of is to increase awareness of undergraduate research on the Baylor campus, provide opportunities for undergraduates to optimize their research experiences, and educate undergraduates in the proper habits and techniques of research in scientific fields.

Career and Professional Development
The Baylor University Career Center in the Paul L. Foster Success Center assists students as they make decisions about their professional goals. Services involve career fairs, workshops, mock interviews, help with résumés and cover letters and access to job search resources.

Final Exam Reschedule Petition
Petition to reschedule a final exam if you have 3 or more exams scheduled on a single day.

Paul L. Foster Success Center
Baylor's Paul L. Foster Success Center, located in the Sid Richardson Building at the heart of campus, encompasses programs and services ranging from academic advisement and support to career counseling and career services for Baylor students. All departments of the Success Center are committed to working together to help students be successful and achieve goals.

Pre-Law Program
Located in the Paul L. Foster Success Center, Baylor Pre-Law is a pre-professional program designed to provide advising, programming and resources to students of all majors who are considering a career in law.

Self-Paced Online Courses
Study at your own speed during a Fall or Spring semester to get ahead on your coursework or complete graduation requirements on time.

Study Abroad and Exchange Programs
Studying abroad is a wonderful opportunity to explore the world, offering invaluable opportunities to grow by gaining new perspectives about the world you live in all while improving advancing your skills, independence and self-confidence. And the international experiences you gain also go a long way toward setting you apart from other job seekers when you graduate.

Undergraduate Research
The URSA initiative at Baylor welcomes all undergraduates, from freshman to senior, to consider maximizing their education through a variety of research and scholarly activities found both within the classroom and beyond. Events include Scholars Week, when Baylor dedicates an entire week to undergraduate scholarly presentation. Students who have conducted research within the past year are encouraged to present their work.
