Online Teaching Resources
As you plan to deliver your course(s) via online instruction, you may find the following resources helpful:
Learning Together
Whether you are new to online and hybrid instruction or have years of experience, this website will provide you with simple steps, recommendations, and templates for building an engaging learning environment that meets your instructional objectives. It will cover instructional and assessment strategies, tools for enhancing the online or hybrid experience, and strategies to help you bring the best practices to life.
ATL Course Makeover Workshop
While not a technical training session in online tools (check out the offerings from Online Teaching and Learning Services), this workshop will prepare faculty to “translate” learning activities to multiple learning environments. For example, what are the objectives of traditional classroom discussions? And how can online tools like chat, discussion forums, or video conferencing help us meet those objectives? May 20-22, register here.
LibCal
1-hour courses taught by our University Libraries staff, for example: “LockDown Browser and Respondus Monitor"
Teaching Exploration Grants
The ATL is pleased to invite faculty applications for 2020-2021 Teaching Exploration Grants. TEGs provide funding for faculty to engage in research projects related to questions of teaching and learning in higher education. The selection committee especially welcomes projects related to teaching with technology and teaching online but is interested in all proposals that promote teaching effectiveness and scholarly understandings of teaching and learning.
