Arts & Sciences Faculty Award Nominations Committee
The standing Faculty Award Nominations Committee is appointed each year by the Dean to evaluate nominations for the various awards in teaching, research, and service by Arts & Sciences faculty. The committee meets in the fall of each year at the prompting of the University Faculty Awards Committee. The committee delivers its recommendations to the University Faculty Awards Committee.
The current committee membership includes:
- Chair: Theresa Kennedy (FRE);
- Voting members: Blair Browning (COM), Erica Bruce (ENV), Michael Muehlenbein (ANT), JoJo Percy (THEA), David Ryden (MTH), and undergraduate student representative.
Faculty nominations are solicited by the Dean to the appropriate Department Chairs to fill committee vacancies. Members serve up to two three-year terms.
Selections for the Elizabeth Vardaman Awards for Excellence in Mentoring Undergraduates are made by the Engaged Learning Committee following a University-wide call for nominations.
